Challenge

Established in 1983, Sweeteners Plus embarked on a transformative journey to redefine its identity, signaling a shift from a singular focus on sweeteners to a multifaceted provider of technology-driven food ingredients solutions, complemented by a robust logistics fleet. With the adoption of the new name, ingredients PLUS, the company aimed to communicate its expanded service offerings and ingredient repertoire to customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.

However, the self employed brand rollout encountered initial challenges, prompting ingredients PLUS to seek expert guidance. While equipped with a logo and RGB/HEX color palette, the company lacked a cohesive brand strategy and identity framework. Recognizing the need for a structured approach, their internal marketing team sought comprehensive assistance in orchestrating a seamless brand rollout, ensuring a unified and impactful introduction to their customers and fleet.

Solution

With only a logo and RGB color palette at our disposal, we collaborated closely with the client to establish a robust framework of core values, brand voice, and strategic messaging. Embracing a phased approach to the brand rollout, we meticulously crafted comprehensive brand guidelines, encompassing:

  • Conversion of the color palette to CMYK and Pantone, ensuring consistency across print and digital platforms.
  • Detailed guidelines for proper logo usage, maintaining integrity and visual coherence.
  • Defined primary and secondary typography hierarchies to enhance readability and visual impact.
  • Clear directives for imagery and footage usage, fostering cohesive brand storytelling.
  • Development of a bespoke iconography library and texture packs, adding depth and personality to the brand's visual language.
  • Guidelines for site signage and tanker/trailer truck decals, ensuring brand visibility across physical spaces.
  • Recommendations for social media profile pages, optimizing brand presence on digital channels.

In addition to the brand guidelines, we curated a comprehensive suite of branded templates, including business cards, social media image templates, a Powerpoint presentation template, custom letterhead, tabletop booth banners, expo collateral, and print files for truck and site signage. This exhaustive effort aimed to equip ingredients PLUS's internal marketing team with the necessary tools for a seamless brand rollout. Furthermore, we provided support in crafting messaging for social media and mailer campaigns targeted at both employees and customers, ensuring a unified and impactful communication strategy.
